Our experienced, professional staff is trained to assist organizations in the assessment of its workforce development needs. The end result is a specifically designed program to meet each organization’s unique situation. With an average of 25 years experience, our clinical staff reflects the diversity and experience that is only found in a highly professional group.
Employee Assistance Program
A pioneer in the employee assistance field in Illinois, BHA has provided comprehensive employee assistance services for more than 20 years. Our approach is to provide highly responsive and personalized service tailored to meet the unique needs of each organization we serve. 

A quality Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers employers both a valued employee benefit and an effective management tool. It provides employers with a means of helping valued employees correct performance issues that may be caused by problems in their personal lives. BHA provides training for managers and supervisors to help alert them to the signs of a developing problem and a step by step process to help them direct the employee to the help they need. As businesses have increasingly recognized the value and cost effectiveness of these programs, we have seen considerable growth in this area with BHA providing employee assistance services to 36 companies headquartered in Illinois and to their satellite locations throughout the U.S. Our team of professionals offer workshops on a wide range of personal growth and development issues.

Consultation and Training

BHA’s Consultation and Training division helps organizations manage the human factor by focusing on the relationship skills that are so important to leadership and team functioning. Issues commonly addressed include the implementation of strategic direction, human system integration, team development, organizational culture, stress reduction, the challenge of rapid change, and conflict resolution.

The Center for Creative Leadership’s (CCL) research found that three of the four reasons promising leaders “derailed” were related to relationship skills vs. job competency. An additional study at Stanford found that of 10,000 people let go from a job, more than 90% were fired for interpersonal reasons.   

BHA consultants can provide organizations with an accurate and objective assessment of the human factor issues present in a department or work group. This assessment, or organizational audit, outlines key themes – group strengths and concerns – and provides recommendations to resolve identified issues.Organizations have found BHA’s consulting services to be extremely helpful in resolving internal conflicts, increasing employee satisfaction, and enhancing team effectiveness. In addition, our team of  professionals offer numerous workshops for professional development.

BHA’s Consultation and Training division, working independently, and in collaboration with the Executive Development Center at Bradley University, has provided services to a wide range of organizations (including over 200 fortune 500 companies) locally, nationally, and internationally.
Mediation

BHA offers mediation services for individuals as well as businesses to facilitate communication and cooperation between two or more disputing parties while attempting to reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Mediation almost always offers a less costly and more humane approach to dispute resolution.

Our Experience

Our staff combines academic preparation with many years of experience as practicing managers to offer programs and services that are relevant to real world managerial issues.
